Taiwan as a major supplier of textile products to the world and one of the leaders in synthetic fiber, Taiwan's textile industry has developed various functional and sustainable textile innovations to the global market for a better world to live. Behind the Taiwan's textile industry there’s an important institution for promoting Taiwan’s textile industry over 45 years. The Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) was established on November 25, 1975 with government guidance and support as well as with donations from the textile industry itself. From its inception, the principal task of the TTF has been to assist the government in bilateral textile quota negotiations and to administer the textile export quota. Over the past years, changes and modifications of the TTF’s operations have been made to assist the textile industry in coping with the challenges presented by the ever-changing economic and trade environment. In recent years, the TTF has aimed to provide a versatile services, including market promotion, industrial development, market information analysis, design capability enhancement, production, and management improvement. The Federation will also continue to assist the industry to develop and upgrade toward a more knowledge-intensive, technologically advanced and computerized industry. With these advancement, Taiwan’s textile industry will enhance its competitiveness, and firmly build up the foundation of sustainability and image of excellence.
