Description
Ecolã its the oldest handmade certificated company. Since 1925 (familiar third generation) and located in Manteigas, Serra da Estrela, follows all the wool (from the local sheep) cycle, since the shearing until the final product, under an ecological and sustainable basis. Using the traditional processes, we keep a cultural heritage associated to the design. Burel is a 100% sheep wool fabric of medieval origin which has always been associated with the Serra da Estrela, the mountain, the shepherds and their capes. The authenticity of Burel results from a sequence of specific operations in the manufacturing process.
